This photo was taken by Alexa Meade. The reason why I enjoy her art so much is that she does things the opposite way most painters do. Instead of painting a 2D surface and attempting to make it look three-dimensional, she paints real people in an attempt to make them look two-dimensional, and then photographs the finished product.
